Carlos Vela joins the FC crew to talk about leaving Europe to join MLS expansion team LAFC, the brewing rivalry with LA Galaxy and Mexico’s World Cup outlook.

LAFC has announced a multi-year partnership with YouTube TV that will see all its locally televised English-language matches carried on the platform.

“This truly is a historic day for our club,” LAFC owner Tom Penn said Wednesday. “YouTube TV is an ambitious and innovative brand that we are proud to showcase on the front of our jersey and in our community.

“We are excited to provide our fans with a new and creative way to watch all of LAFC’s matches in one place during our inaugural season.”

YouTube TV will serve as “Official Live TV Partner” and “Official Video Partner” of the expansion franchise and will have its logo displayed on the team jersey.

The deal is the first in American sports in which all locally televised matches of a team will be shown on a live TV streaming provider. YouTube TV will also show all national broadcasts televised on ESPN, FOX and FS1.

“LAFC is reimagining the sports landscape in the same innovative way we strive to reimagine the live TV experience,” said YouTube Director of Sports Partnerships for the Americas Tim Katz.

“We couldn’t be more excited to partner with LAFC to be the exclusive home for all locally televised matches and to share our name on the front of their jerseys.”
