ESPN FC chronicles Liverpool’s Champions League matchweek against PSG, from the buildup around the city to the celebrations following Firmino’s winner.

“Boring James Milner” (@BoringMilner) has long been one of the funniest football parody accounts out there, but James Milner’s official accounts are starting to give it a run for its money. The 32-year-old joined Instagram and Twitter earlier this year and has looked a natural from day one. The Liverpool midfielder has shown a quick wit on the platforms and is quick to make fun of himself and play up to his “Boring James Milner” label.

After Liverpool defeated PSG 3-2 on Tuesday, aided by a Milner goal, the fan favourite took to social media with PSG superstar Neymar his latest target. In a clever and rather hilarious post, Milner had a bit of a go at Neymar, posting a photo of a tackle he made on the Brazilian with a couple of sly hashtags.

We never thought we’d see the day where the real James Milner would be on social media, but boy are we glad we were wrong! Now we’ll see if Neymar remembers this jab when the two meet again at the end of November. Either way, one thing is for sure: Milner has quickly become a must-follow on social media!
